At Sea Star Beachwear, we have a history of collaborating with philanthropic organizations that support causes that we are passionate about! For our new Resort 2021 Palm Collection, we are thrilled to be donating a portion of the collection’s profits to the Bahamas-based non-profit, Briland Aid! Created in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 crisis, Briland Aid works to provide emergency relief and ensure the long-term wellbeing of Harbour Island and its people. Because the residents of Harbour Island rely heavily on the income they derive from tourism, the pandemic’s effect on travel left the majority of Harbour Island’s inhabitants without a financial safety net. Briland aid’s efforts range from providing basic essentials, such as food, fresh, drinkable water, and electricity, to building and restoring vital infrastructures.

Harbour Island (population 1,762) is an island in the Bahamas located off the northeast coast of Eleuthera Island. It’s famous for its pink sand beaches and is a popular vacation destination for both Americans and Europeans. Known as “Briland” to the locals, Harbour Island is colorful and charming with its English Colonial-style buildings and flower-lined streets.
Harbour Island holds a special place in our hearts! We had our first photoshoot on the island in February 2015, and most recently, we were back there this past July shooting our Resort 2021 Palm Collection. The Brilanders have always been warm, welcoming, and gracious to share their beautiful home with us.
For our Resort 2021 Palm Collection, we chose to shoot in Harbour Island- a place that’s turquoise waters and bright orange sea stars inspired our brand! Harbour Island’s pink sand beaches, colorful architecture, lush vegetation as well as the spirit of its people perfectly complemented our Banana Palm Print. We couldn’t have picked a better location and had the most wonderful time seeing our designs come to life. We hope you have as much fun wearing this collection as we did creating it!
